Kate Middleton collapses after U.S. tour (26th July, 2011)

The Duchess of Cambridge (Kate Middleton) has collapsed during her tour of North America. Doctors immediately ordered her to take a long rest and get plenty of sleep. The newly-married British royal was at the end of an 11-day tour of Canada and the USA. She was very busy and her daily schedule was full of appointments. Kate said she thought the trip was very tiring. It was her first official overseas trip with her husband Prince William. When she returned to Britain, she cancelled her official duties so that she could get some much needed rest.

Media reports say Britain’s royal family is now worried about Kate's health. The Duchess lost a lot of weight before she got married in April and has lost a lot more since then. Her weight is now a topic for many British tabloids, who say she is a size zero. There are concerns that she may be too thin to have a baby. Britain's Daily Star said it was medically possible that “she will have extreme difficulty getting pregnant”. One reporter said: "Kate's got to relax and start eating properly because her next royal duty is to produce a son and heir.”
