The Bank of Canada’s governor Mark Carney on Monday for the the bank changed its new $100 bill. The new for the banknote initially had an "Asian-" woman on it. The bank has come fire from ethnic groups who the banknotes should people from non-white races. They say Canada is a multi-ethnic , so publicly things like $100 bills should represent the nation's diversity. A spokeswoman for Chinese Canadians, May Lui, demanded the bank its policies. She : "What's this 'apology' ? For the appearance of the Asian-looking individual…or for the image that appears on the note that we see ?"
